Important Update from Nixplay CEO: 2025 Changes to Your Services

As the CEO and Founder of Nixplay, it has been my greatest honour to see Nixplay become a trusted part of countless families around the world. Every day, over 2 billion photos are displayed on our frames, helping you preserve and share life’s most cherished memories.
What’s changing?
I’m writing to notify you of changes we will be making to our free and paid services, including updates to our free plan that will remove premium features and reduce limits. We are also reducing the cost of Nixplay Plus from $49.99 to $39.99 per year (that's the equivalent of just $3.33 per month)*.
On April 21st 2025, we will be updating our subscription plans:
Basic Plan (Free): Core features for continued enjoyment of your frame. As a current Standard user you will automatically move to this plan.
Nixplay Lite ($24.99 / year)*: Access to enhanced functionality, future features and more storage, with some changes to limits.
Nixplay Plus ($39.99 / year)*: Even greater access to enhanced functionality, future features, and increased limits.
Without a subscription, there will be some limits on the quantity of content that users can display on the frame and share.
How will this affect you?
You are currently enjoying a Nixplay Standard plan. On April 21st, you will be automatically migrated to a free Nixplay Basic plan at no cost to you.
Your current usage exceeds the limits of your new Nixplay Basic plan. Where your usage exceeds your plan limits, on April 21st some content will be restricted from sharing or viewing on a frame without editing your content or upgrading your subscription.
To continue with your current usage levels, you will need to upgrade to Nixplay Lite ($24.99 / year) or Nixplay Plus (reduced to $31.99 / year for a limited time). You will also have the option to edit your content to within your new limits and we will provide you with the help and tools you need for this.
To see details of how your usage exceeds your new limits, please open your Nixplay app, where your personal usage information is waiting for you. In-app, we’ve also sent you a time-limited offer for Nixplay Plus for just $31.99 / year.
Rest assured, your content will not be deleted from your frame or Nixplay cloud storage and we will provide tools to help you manage this transition. Your content is safe and we remain committed to building the #1 storytelling platform for you and your loved ones.
Why is this happening?
Rising storage and bandwidth costs plus ever-increasing compliance requirements have made it more challenging to maintain and enhance the platform on our current pricing model. We have tried our best to absorb the costs these past years, but we must now change.
Most of our competitors charge for cloud storage without offering Nixplay’s complete storytelling platform. Nixplay must evolve to keep pace. By updating our usage plans, we’ll ensure sustainable growth while continuing to enrich your experience with new and exciting features.
